Overview

NHS Fife is hiring a part-time Clerical Officer to support the Ophthalmology department’s cataract unit. This role is ideal for candidates with strong clerical experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with healthcare systems like Trakcare.

• Handle multiple telephone calls from GPs, opticians, patients, and healthcare departments
• Navigate Trakcare system and organise patient appointments
• Provide clerical support to patients, staff, and public within the Ophthalmology department
• Maintain professional communication and coordination across teams

• Clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong telephone communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple calls and tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with appointment systems and patient coordination
• Experience in ophthalmology (preferred but not essential)
