Job Description:

The T31 Frigate programme in Rosyth is seeking 5 skilled Fabricators to support the construction and outfitting of new naval vessels. The role involves working as part of a large, multidisciplinary shipbuilding team, contributing to the fabrication, assembly, and installation of structural and mechanical components across the frigates.

Fabricators will be responsible for reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and fabricating structural steelwork, modules, brackets, supports, and assemblies to a high standard. Work will be carried out both in workshops and onboard the vessels during build and fit-out stages, ensuring all components meet strict marine, engineering, and safety requirements.

The initial contract is 6 months, however this is a long-term programme and it is common for trade workers to remain on site well beyond the initial term.

Requirements:

Proven experience in marine, shipbuilding, or heavy engineering environments

Strong fabrication skills including marking out, cutting, forming, and assembly

Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications

Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards

Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork

Must be able to pass a Scottish criminal record check (mandatory)
