OverviewAn exciting opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to train to become a qualified District Charge Nurse within the community. They will support the delivery of high quality care for a wide variety of patients and support the ongoing development of community nursing across Fife in line with local and national drivers. Community experience would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of high quality care for a wide variety of patients
- Travel independently across the locality area of work
- Hold an appropriate academic credit rating – a minimum of a degree and preferably evidence of recent academic study
- Undertake the Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing qualification through Queen Margaret University, a full‑time 1‑year PG Dip commencing September 2026
- Successful completion of the competency framework in Annex 21 prior to progressing from band 5 to band 6
- Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before appointment
- Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom, or be eligible for sponsorship
- Practice assessor and practice supervisor will provide ongoing support for personal continued professional development
- Successful completion will result in a District Charge Nurse position within Fife
