As Senior Charge Nurse, you will lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective care while supporting each individual's pathway towards community living.
As a visible and inspiring clinical leader, you will:
- Lead and support the nursing team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.
- Coordinate and oversee the planning and delivery of individual care pathways.
- Promote positive risk management and support safe transitions into community settings.
- Foster a culture of compassion, continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, families and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for individuals.
- Contribute to service development alongside the Clinical Service Manager, Lead Nurse and Head of Nursing.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated leader who has:
- Significant post-registration experience within Learning Disability Nursing.
- Current NMC registration as a Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- A strong commitment to improving the lives and experiences of people with learning disabilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop others.
- Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making abilities.
- Experience of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to delivering care in line with the National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes and NHS values.
- A passion for service improvement, quality assurance and person-centred practice.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Make a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals with complex needs.
- Lead within a highly specialised and rewarding clinical environment.
- Influence care pathways and support successful community transitions.
- Develop your leadership skills while shaping the future of the service.
- Work alongside experienced and supportive multidisciplinary colleagues.
If you believe you have the skills, experience and values required for this rewarding leadership opportunity, we would welcome an informal discussion.
Join us and help shape outstanding, person-centred care that enables people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives within their communities.
