Contracts Supervisor NIE

Inform3 are currently recruiting for a Contracts Supervisor NIE to cover NI. They will be responsible for supervising and managing the day‑to‑day execution of civil engineering contracts ensuring that works are performed to specification, on time, on budget, and comply with health & safety, environmental, quality, and contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will have high attention to detail and accuracy with a qualification in B3X.

Contracts Supervisor NIE Responsibilities:
  • Interpret contract documents, enforce terms on site, and manage variations, change control, and commercial claims.
  • Oversee subcontractor engagement and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Support programme development, allocate resources, and monitor progress with corrective actions where needed.
  • Track costs against budget, validate claims and variations, prepare invoices, and manage cash flow/WIP risk.
  • Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with specifications and regulations, and manage QA/testing and handover documentation.
  • Promote and enforce HSE standards, support risk assessments and safety briefings, ensure CDM compliance, and monitor environmental impacts.
  • Lead and supervise site teams and subcontractors, providing coaching and managing performance.
  • Liaise with clients, authorities, suppliers, and represent the company in meetings.
  • Prepare progress, cost, and risk reports, and maintain accurate records, correspondence, and commercial documentation.
Contracts Supervisor NIE Specification:
  • Relevant experience in construction / civil engineering contract roles.
  • B3X qualification/experience essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, claims, and subcontractors.
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations (CDM), quality control, and site compliance.
  • Proven ability to plan and programme works, and to resource manage for large contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management / commercial software.
  • Leadership experience with on-site teams / subcontractors.
