Commercial Manager County Tyrone

A leading specialist contractor is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a senior leadership role within their commercial team. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key commercial functions, including bid preparation, contract negotiation and commercial risk management, across projects throughout Northern Ireland.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a central role in supporting successful project delivery by developing strong stakeholder relationships, driving commercial performance and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.

The Role
  • Lead the commercial and contractual management of projects
  • Manage key relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
  • Prepare, negotiate and agree project budgets and variations
  • Attend pre-contract and project meetings and ensure actions are progressed
  • Develop and maintain procurement schedules
  • Prepare and issue tender enquiries, analyse returns and recommend subcontractor appointments
  • Assess and certify subcontractor valuations and process payments
  • Produce accurate cost/value reconciliations and financial forecasts
  • Provide commercial support to site and contract management teams
  • Contribute to the leadership and development of the wider commercial team
Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
  • Strong background within the construction sector
  • Proven commercial and contractual expertise
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of organisational and problem‑solving ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
