Electrical Design Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, test, and validate reliable electrical systems for a range of advanced mechanical and electrical products.

Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring systems, and panel layouts in line with relevant standards and regulations
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and parts lists
- Conduct simulations and engineering analyses to support and validate designs
- Select appropriate electrical and electronic components for system integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Support the development of control strategies in collaboration with software/controls engineers
- Contribute to new product development and enhancement of existing designs
- Develop and implement testing methods to ensure product quality and performance
- Apply knowledge of safety‑critical systems to electrical design work
- Provide technical support in line with internal standards and procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements
- HND, degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar electrical design role
- Experience using industry‑standard design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Solid Works Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)
- Ability to read and produce detailed electrical drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and design standards
- Experience working within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Good technical drawing and drafting skills to recognised standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
