As Senior R&D Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of new and existing products from concept through to production. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive engineering solutions that enhance performance, reliability and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading R&D design projects from initial concept through prototyping, testing and final release
• Developing innovative mechanical and structural solutions using advanced 3D CAD
• Conducting detailed engineering analysis, calculations and design validation
• Collaborating with manufacturing, quality and service teams to ensure robust product delivery
• Managing design reviews, documentation and engineering change processes
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the product range
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
• Liaising with suppliers and customers to refine specifications and resolve technical challenges

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Significant experience in R&D, product development or heavy equipment design
• Strong 3D CAD capability (Solid Works or similar)
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and technical reporting skills
• A proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for engineering excellence
