Senior Design Engineer

As part of ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in the development of innovative products from concept through to manufacture.

As Senior Design Engineer, you will take ownership of complex design projects, working closely with manufacturing, production, and customers to deliver robust engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading design and development projects from initial concept through to production release Producing detailed 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation Managing BOMs, design reviews and engineering change requests

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across existing product ranges Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, procurement and quality Mentoring and supporting junior members of the design team Engaging directly with customers to understand requirements and provide technical solutions Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards, quality requirements and cost targets What You'll Need to Succeed Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline Significant experience in a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer position within a manufacturing environment Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Solid Works, Creo or Inventor Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining and assembly Experience leading projects and managing multiple design activities simultaneously Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement What You'll Get in Return Competitive salary package Opportunity to work on varied and technically challenging projects Clear progression opportunities within a growing business Supportive and collaborative engineering environment Ongoing professional development and training Excellent company culture with long-term career prospects What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
