Design Engineer

Hays Engineering is proud to be working in partnership with a highly successful and innovative engineering manufacturer based in County Tyrone to recruit a Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established design team responsible for developing market-leading products supplied to customers across the globe. You'll play a key role in creating innovative engineering solutions, supporting new product development, and driving continuous product improvement.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings. Developing innovative design solutions that meet customer and business requirements. Supporting new product development projects. Conducting design calculations and technical evaluations. Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and quality. Assisting with product testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and BOMs.

What You'll Need Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in a mechanical design or product development environment. Proficiency with 3D CAD software. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. What's in it for You?
