Act as a trusted HR partner, providing proactive advice and expert guidance to managers on all aspects of Employee Relations, ensuring consistent application of employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
Manage a broad range of complex Employee Relations cases from initial consultation through to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, investigations, performance management, and employee wellbeing. Partner with managers to build leadership capability, coaching and supporting them to confidently manage people issues while minimising business risk. Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and processes that drive operational excellence, ensure legal compliance, and support organisational objectives.
Support organisational change programmes by delivering pragmatic HR solutions and fostering positive industrial and employee relations throughout periods of change. Lead and contribute to HR projects, driving continuous improvement initiatives and embedding new processes across the business. Champion employee engagement by promoting inclusive workplace initiatives, supporting employee forums, and delivering wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion programmes. Ensure compliance with employment law, ethical standards, and socially responsible trading requirements, maintaining accurate HR documentation and audit readiness.
Build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation, promoting a culture of fairness, collaboration, and high performance. What will you require as HR Officer? Minimum of 2 years HR Generalist experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Extensive experience managing Employee Relations matters Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice Excellent organisational and time management skills Highly developed communication, coaching, and influencing skills enabling effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS) with experience maintaining accurate employee records and producing HR reports.
