Maintenance Team Lead

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a leading manufacturing business. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing best-practice maintenance strategies to maximise machine output, improve efficiency, and minimise production downtime. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

• Lead, manage and develop a small team of maintenance engineers through effective performance management and succession planning
• Create and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on plant performance, reliability and efficiency
• Develop and manage a structured preventative maintenance programme across all site equipment and machinery
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and maintenance stock control systems
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, facilities repairs, and equipment reliability projects
• Maintain and develop a comprehensive asset management system for all plant and machinery
• Ensure maintenance processes support quality, compliance, and audit requirements
• Ensure all equipment and maintenance practices comply with current health, safety, and legislative requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
• Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and provide direction across maintenance functions
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance systems, TPM programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives
