The Opportunity As Senior Manager, you will lead the Audit & Accounts function, overseeing a diverse client portfolio while driving technical excellence, team development and operational efficiency. The role is suited to a commercially minded professional who enjoys client engagement, leadership and strategic input.
Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop the Audit & Accounts team in line with the firms strategic objectives. Manage a varied client portfolio across sectors including manufacturing, construction, engineering and professional services. Oversee audit planning, execution and completion ensuring compliance with relevant standards in both NI and ROI.
Review financial statements and provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients. Work closely with senior leadership on operational planning, workflow management and commercial decisions. Mentor and develop qualified and trainee accountants, supporting their professional growth. Deliver technical training and ensure the team remains up to date with evolving standards and best practice. Contribute to wider firm initiatives including business development, operational improvements and digital transformation.
Support governance, quality assurance and risk management processes.
The Person ACA or ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience. Demonstrated leadership experience within an accountancy or professional practice environment. Demonstrated leadership experience within an accountancy or professional practice environment. Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards across NI and ROI. Experience managing complex audit and accounts engagements. Excellent people management and mentoring skills. Commercially minded with strong client relationship and communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proactive, forward-thinking and keen to contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
