Hides Operatives will assist with production, ensuring hides and skins are trimmed, sorted, graded, and preserved for further processing. This job includes semi‑skilled and non‑skilled tasks related to the preservation of cattle hides and sheep skins, such as chilling and salting hides and skins, trimming, weighing, and grading. The position also requires occasional loading of lorries, dollys, and boxes for dispatch.

Employees must maintain a clean and tidy factory at all times and adhere to a “clean‑as‑you‑go” policy during production.

• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative while working as part of a team to achieve high levels of customer service.
• Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
