Job Overview
Are you a hands‑on technical leader who thrives on keeping operations safe, efficient, and high‑quality? Join our K3 department and take ownership of on‑shift Technical and Coordination responsibilities, providing strong leadership across Health, Safety and Quality, driving process optimisation, and supporting confident technical decision‑making on shift. You’ll be trained in and apply GPUK processes, including equipment operation, machine speeds, changeover times, product specifications, and customer quality requirements.
Working closely with the K3 Senior Technician, you’ll help establish best‑in‑class K3 practices and ensure all process settings are fully optimised – without ever compromising Safety, Quality or Hygiene standards.
Essential Criteria
- Strong technical capability evidenced by a minimum of 12 months of experience within a manufacturing environment in a similar technical role.
- Experience of knowledge transfer through training of others.
- Minimum GCSE / equivalent level including English & Maths or >5 yrs demonstratable experience in a relevant role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- IT literate & proficient with Microsoft, SAP & digital equipment.
- Evidence of strong technical competence.
- Possess good communication skills and have a keen willingness to learn/lead others.
Desirable Criteria
- Relevant technical or vocational qualification (e.g., Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of K3 Process.
Day shift two‑week rotation (38 hours per week)
- Week 1 – Early shift (39.5 hrs):
Mon‑Thu 06:54‑15:00, Fri 06:54‑14:00 - Week 2 – Late shift (36.5 hrs):
Mon‑Thu 14:54‑23:00, Fri 14:54‑18:00 - £34 165.44 per annum
