Overview
LAGAN ENGINEERING LTD is seeking a Welder to join our team. The role involves welding fabricated and machined components to engineering drawings and welding specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Carry out welding operations using MIG processes.
- Weld steel components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Prepare materials for welding (cutting, grinding, cleaning).
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate parameters.
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance.
- Carry out rework or repairs where required. Work with fabrication and fitting teams to complete assemblies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Using hand & power tools.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Basic weld inspection.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic knowledge of coating systems and why profiles matter.
- Awareness of corrosion types.

Standard Hours up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours may be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional hours may be offered depending on availability; this should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
