Production Manager, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing food manufacturing business as they establish their new production facility in Dungannon, following the relocation of their manufacturing operations.
They are seeking to appoint an experienced Production Supervisor to join the team during this exciting period of growth and development. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the production room, coordinating people, materials and workflow to ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily production and manufacturing activities
- Ensuring production lines operate efficiently and follow agreed processes and schedules
- Coordinating labour, materials and workflow to meet production targets
- Making practical adjustments when delays, equipment issues or staffing challenges arise
- Supervising, training, coaching and developing production staff
- Assigning roles and responsibilities according to workload and operational priorities
- Monitoring team performance and providing constructive feedback
- Ensuring production and traceability records are accurately completed
- Monitoring production areas to identify and prevent quality or process issues
- Supporting investigations and corrective actions where required
- Ensuring employees follow operating procedures, quality standards and safety requirements
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene across production areas
- Working closely with Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational issues
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation
What you'll need
- At least 3 years' supervisory or team leader experience, preferably within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong practical leadership skills with the ability to motivate, organise and develop a production team
- Good understanding of production processes, scheduling and resource allocation
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make practical decisions when issues arise
- Good communication skills and a hands-on, proactive approach
- Strong commitment to health & safety, quality and continuous improvement
Desirable Criteria (it would be great if you have these but don't worry if you don't!)
- Level 2 Food Safety or equivalent
- Level 2 HACCP or equivalent
- Experience working to BRC, IFS or similar standards
- Previous experience of coaching or delivering formal training
