Job Role:
Health & Safety Assistant in Dungannon We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Assistant to join a growing organisation and develop their career within Health & Safety Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will support the delivery of health and safety across multiple sites, helping to promote a strong and proactive safety culture.

- Support the development and promotion of a positive health and safety culture across multiple sites.
- Carry out site audits and assessments, identifying concerns and reporting them to the Health & Safety Manager.
- Deliver toolbox talks and assist with communicating health and safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor PPE compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with reducing workplace accidents, injuries and occupational health risks.
- Complete and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.
- Maintain COSHH records and ensure relevant information, instruction and training is provided to employees.
- Maintain the non-compliance register and ensure actions are followed through.
- Assist with accident investigations and contribute to preventative measures.
- Support fire safety procedures, including fire drills and alarm testing.
- Contribute to ongoing health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide general support to the Health & Safety function as required.
- Previous experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as this is a multi-site position.
- Experience with in a similar industry or operational environment.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated and willing to take ownership.
- Highly organised with good time-management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confident using IT and Microsoft Office.
- Passionate about maintaining high standards of health and safety.
