Trade Counter Assistant - Dungannon - Bassetts

Responsibilities

Assisting customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product advice and recommendations.
Proactively engaging with both new and existing customers to maximise sales opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
Handling customer phone calls and emails with a positive and proactive approach, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and putting it away in the warehouse. This will involve manual handling of heavy stock such as toilets, sinks, boilers & radiators.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week:
Monday – Wednesday 07:30 am – 05:00 pm, Thursday 07:30 am – 08:00 pm (on a rota basis), Friday 07:30 am – 04:00 pm.

Requirements

Plumbing industry experience is preferential.
Experience working in a busy trade counter environment.
Proven experience in face‑to‑face sales and customer service.
Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
