Trade Counter Sales

Due to continued expansion, our client is currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Salesperson to join their busy Trade Counter

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Customer service:
  Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Deal with telephone enquiries efficiently and effectively as well as communicating with customers and colleagues
• Assist with stock replenishment on the shop floor. Monitoring inventory levels, restocking shelves and ensuring that products are properly organized and displayed.
• Assist with deliveries in and out of the store
• Sales and upselling:
  Actively promoting and selling products to customers
• Order processing:
  Accurately processing customer orders, ensuring that the correct products are selected, and managing any necessary paperwork or documentation.
• Cash handling:
  Processing cash, credit card, or other payment methods, and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
• Collaborating with colleagues:
  Working closely with other team members, such as warehouse staff or sales representatives, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Person Specification

• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
• IT literacy is essential
• An understanding of the building, construction and engineering sectors would be desireable
• Clean driving licence

Hours:

39.5 hours per week (with the opportunity for paid overtime)

Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday to 4.30pm

Required to work every second Saturday
