Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour

Hours: Average 42.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights (07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00)

Mitie Security is looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at a busy distribution centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking stable, long-term employment with a leading security provider. Working a structured 4-on/4-off shift pattern, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of the site, its employees, visitors and assets.

• Managing the site's gatehouse operations.
• Controlling access and egress for employees, visitors and contractors.
• Conducting vehicle and driver checks as required.
• Carrying out regular external and internal security patrols.
• Completing routine site inspections and security checks.
• Monitoring site activity and reporting incidents.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring site security procedures are followed.

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Previous gatehouse or distribution centre experience
• Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment
• Full UK driving licence

• To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
• Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
• To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

• To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
• Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
• Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.
• To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There…
