We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Family Support Workers to join our team providing Reverse Residential Support to children, young people, and families within their own homes and communities. Unlike traditional residential care, Reverse Residential Support involves working directly with families in their home environment to provide practical, emotional, and behavioural support. The aim is to help families develop the skills, confidence, and stability needed to create a safe and positive home environment while reducing the need for residential placements.

Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to children, young people, and families in their homes and community settings. Promote the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children and young people. Support families with daily routines, boundaries, and life skills. Encourage positive parenting strategies and family relationships. Assist with education, social activities, appointments, and community engagement. Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

Observe, monitor, and accurately record progress, concerns, and outcomes. Maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships. Work in partnership with social workers, schools, healthcare professionals, and other agencies. Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly. Attend team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required. Requirements Essential Experience working in care, support work, residential care, domiciliary care, youth work, family support, or a related field.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good written and verbal English skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred). Desirable NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or equivalent.

Previous experience supporting children, young people, or families. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, behaviour management, or family intervention work. Experience working with vulnerable individuals or complex family situations.
