Leeds Starting salary: £35,000 per annum plus sleep-in payments Working pattern:
Residential shift rota, including approximately 910 sleep-ins per month Take the next step towards becoming a Registered Manager Are you an experienced children's residential care professional looking to progress into management? This opportunity offers a clear development pathway towards becoming a Registered Manager, with all training and qualifications required for your development fully funded . You will work alongside the Registered Manager, gaining practical management experience while helping to create a safe, supportive and nurturing home for children and young people.

The role Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home. Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to the staff team. Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. Promote safeguarding and respond appropriately to concerns. Support care planning, risk assessments and accurate record keeping. Help with staff supervision, development and induction. Assist with audits, quality assurance and preparation for Ofsted inspections.

Work closely with families, social workers, education teams and other professionals. Take on increasing management responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop. Participate in the rota, including approximately 910 sleep-ins each month. What we're looking for Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. Full UK driving licence. Previous experience working within children's residential care. A good understanding of safeguarding and the needs of children in care.

Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills. The confidence to support colleagues and lead by example. A calm, consistent approach to challenging situations. A commitment to completing further qualifications and progressing towards a Registered Manager position. Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader would be advantageous. Salary, development and benefits £35,000 starting basic salary. Sleep-ins paid in addition to your basic salary.
