Junior Planner Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 45 hours per week. May include additional weekend hours as and when required. Company Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Transport Planner to join our growing team. Working alongside experienced planners, you will learn how to coordinate daily transport activities, plan efficient delivery and collection schedules, communicate with drivers and customers, and help ensure that operations run safely, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities Help ensure transport is planned efficiently, taking account of time, distance, vehicle capacity and customer requirements. Provide updates to customers and colleagues regarding delivery and collection times. Take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develop. Assist with the planning and coordination of daily transport operations. Help allocate vehicles and drivers to planned routes and jobs. Monitor deliveries, collections and vehicle movements throughout the day.

Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams. Requirements Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Comfortable using computers and learning new systems. A good problem solver who can think quickly and practically. Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering a high standard of work. A team player with a positive and professional attitude. Keen to develop a long-term career within transport and logistics.

Strong communication, organisational and planning skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations, customer service or administration would be advantageous, but is not essential. Benefits Company pension scheme.
