Adjunct Faculty, IN‑PERSON (COMD 219 – Speech, Pax River, MD College of Arts and Sciences)
Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University seeks adjunct faculty to teach COMD 219 – Speech in person at our Patuxent, MD campus.
Job DescriptionDesign and deliver lecture content, facilitate classroom discussions, and assess student performance for foundational communication theories and practices. Candidates must be physically located within the United States (except California) and provide proof of qualifications such as transcripts, licenses, and professional experience.
Course DescriptionFoundational theories and practices of communication, including public speaking, content, delivery, and design. Section emphasis may vary by instructor.
Qualifications- Doctor’s or Master’s degree in a teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with a concentration in a teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours).
- Degrees within the teaching discipline:
Speech, Communication, Communication Studies.
- Related disciplines:
Rhetoric, English, Education with a cognate in Speech or Communication Studies, Applied Linguistics, and Applied Communication Arts.
Professional teaching experience or related certification is preferred.
