* * Provides occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, and related documentation and communication, in order to increase the patients’ functional independence.

* Assesses the needs of the patient using evaluation tools and clinical observations
* Develops treatment plans, including goals, and methods to achieve identified goals
* Provides goal directed treatment consistent with current OT practice standards and/or ensures that OTAs deliver goal-directed services appropriately
* Selects and uses learning strategies to share occupational therapy treatment choices and outcomes with patients, family, care team and consumers
* Effectively uses available information sources to report therapy activities and patient performances
* Promotes growth and development while evaluating performance and maintaining standards of assigned individuals
* Authorized to have access to medications within their scope of practice
* Other duties as assigned  #
** Minimum Qualifications
** The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:  ##
** Education and Formal Training**:
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic institution
* Master’s degree preferred
* Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina  ##
** Work Experience**:
* New graduate or experienced clinicians considered  ##
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**:
* Professional competency as a general practitioner of OT as defined by certification and licensure
* Ability to select age appropriate functional goals and treatment techniques for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
* Interpersonal skills that promote cooperative patient and peer behavior
* Accurate written and verbal English  ##
** Physical Requirements**:
* Ability to communicate orally, read, write, hear, and visually assess patient status
* Ability to utilize proper body mechanics when examining or delivering care
* Ability to transfer and transport patients of various body weight and composition
* Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift, turn, twist, sit and walk frequently
* Ability to demonstrate proper use of and manipulate equipment#CFVH-2026
