Job SummaryThe OHE Foreman leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the placement of overhead electrical cables, ensuring crew safety, logging employee hours, and conducting daily and weekly safety briefings and inspections. This position oversees the Line team and collaborates with other departments.
Responsibilities- Obtain all necessary materials for the job and ensure all permits and licenses are in place.
- Oversee all project work, assuming full responsibility for quality and timeliness.
- Maintain compliance with proper safety standards, procedures, and practices according to Mas Tec or the higher customer standard.
- Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections.
- Disseminate information and ensure understanding of safety briefings.
- Perform aerial tasks such as new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, and lashing.
- Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires and cables to terminals.
- Coordinate and supervise daily crew tasks related to digging and placing product.
- Drive, haul, and operate equipment to assist crews at job sites.
- Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- 8 or more years of experience, including extensive experience supervising and training skilled labor.
- OSHA 20 Certification.
This role operates in a field environment requiring extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting. Work may occur in extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have clear vision and hand‑eye coordination.
