Job Description

A Dunnellon, Florida based client is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide excellent primary care services to the community. An ideal candidate is a self-starting leader who works well in a collaborative environment, is efficient and effective at providing medical care, and values patient centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
• Current Florida medical license
• Completed an accredited residency program
• Current DEA certificate
• Board certified or board eligible in primary care
• Current BLS certification
• Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
• Manage acute and chronic conditions
• Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
• Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
• Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary huddles
• Assist in patient utilization review of services and quality improvement
• Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
