This role is ideal for someone who understands SOR codes and enjoys spotting missing or incorrect coding on repairs jobs – you could be a repairs supervisor, scheduler, inspector or junior QS who understands Schedule of Rates coding

Gilmartins is a growing property maintenance contractor delivering responsive repairs, voids and planned works for housing providers across multiple regions.

We are looking for someone to review repair jobs and ensure the correct SOR codes, time allowances and costs have been applied.

This role plays an important part in ensuring that the work carried out on site is accurately reflected commercially, helping protect profitability across our repairs contracts.

You may currently be a repairs supervisor, scheduler, inspector or junior QS who understands how repairs jobs are delivered and how they should be coded.

If you enjoy analysing jobs, identifying missing codes and improving commercial accuracy, this role will suit you.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Reviewing completed and live repairs jobs to ensure correct SOR codes are applied

* Identifying missing codes, incorrect coding or additional works

* Checking job photos and notes to confirm works carried out match what has been coded

* Challenging discrepancies between site works and commercial coding

* Working with operational teams to correct coding and improve job accuracy

* Supporting the business in protecting margin and improving commercial controls

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who understands repairs work and pays close attention to detail.

You may have experience as a:

* Repairs supervisor

* Repairs inspector

* Scheduler or planner with SOR knowledge

* Commercial assistant or junior quantity surveyor

* Tradesperson who has moved into a repairs management role

You will likely have experience in:

• Social housing repairs or maintenance

• Working with Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes

• Reviewing jobs and understanding how works should be coded

• Using repairs systems and operational job data

Most importantly, you will be someone who spots inaccuracies, asks questions and ensures jobs are coded correctly.
