Location:Central Bedfordshire College – Dunstable Kingsway Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £24,522 and £26,754 per annum (pro Rata) DOE and Qualifications, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks:30 hours per week – 36 weeks per year

We are currently seeking Job Coach to join our Foundation Learning & Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group.
- Employer & Placement Development - Build relationships with employers and organisations to create and support work experience, volunteering, and employment opportunities, including job carving to meet individual learner needs.
- Learner Assessment & Progress Planning - Assess learners’ aspirations, strengths, and support needs through vocational profiling, contribute to individual learning plans, and regularly review progress towards employment, volunteering, and education goals.
- Work Placement & Skills Support - Support learners with applications, placements, travel training, and workplace learning using systematic instruction methods to develop independence and employability skills.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Learner Wellbeing - Work closely with tutors, employers, placement providers, learners, and support networks to address training needs, pastoral concerns, and successful transitions into work or further education.
- Compliance, Monitoring & Administration - Maintain accurate records, monitor learner targets, ensure compliance with organisational procedures, support quality and audit requirements, and contribute to wider team and administrative responsibilities
- Education & Communication – Good general education with GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade A–C), strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Experience & Knowledge – Some experience working with young people, understanding of SEND, and commitment to equal opportunities and safeguarding practices.
- Personal Attributes – Patient, adaptable, proactive, and a good motivator with the ability to respond to student needs and take instruction as part of a team.
- Organisation & Problem Solving – Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, able to plan, prioritise, and solve problems independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility & Compliance – Willing to work flexibly, travel with own transport, and undergo an enhanced DBS check to support a safe and inclusive learning environment.
