Position: Food Production Operative (Late & Early Shift) (Permanent)
Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Food Production Operative to join their busy client in Dusntable. The succesful candidate will join on a temp2perm basis and will be able to work on both early shift & late shift.

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual with experience in food or drink production to support the Production Supervisor and Senior Operatives in overseeing the Packing Area. The role involves managing resources to ensure products are packed on schedule, while maintaining a safe working environment, meeting quality standards, and minimizing waste. You will help ensure smooth operations that add value to our clients, employees, and the company.

Working Hours:

(You'll be required to work on both shifts on a rotational basis)

Early Shift - Mon to Fri 06:00 to 14:00 (£13.39 per hour)

Late Shift - Mon to Thurs 13:45 to 23:45 (£15.13 per hour)

Key Responsibilities:

Complete all food safety and health and safety checks on time. Raise any issues immediately with the Senior Operative or Supervisor.

Adhere to all Health and Safety and Food Safety policies set by our client.

Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the Packing Area to meet customer quality expectations and external audits (e.g., BRC).

Ensure compliance with product specifications, delivering products within agreed quality parameters.

Manage and monitor data collection systems, ensuring accurate documentation is submitted to relevant teams on time.

Support efficient production output according to the schedule, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with available resources and report any shortfalls.

Assist in controlling costs, yields, and waste within the Packing Department.

Promote and uphold a strong food safety culture at all times. Raise any concerns with the Line Manager or Production Manager.

To be considered for this role you must have / be:

Previous experience in food or drink production is essential.

Strong team player who works well with others to achieve shared targets.

Strong communication skills

Good organisation skills

Able to work on both Early and Late Shifts as and when required
