Quality Engineer
Location: Dunstable
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a Quality Assurance team within a busy industrial manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on Quality Engineer role supporting Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain and continuously improve product quality, reliability and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring components, sub-assemblies and finished products meet the required standards, while helping to prevent quality issues from progressing through the manufacturing process or reaching the customer.
Key Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer
- Support Production and Engineering teams with quality-related issues, investigations and improvement activities.
- Lead and support root cause investigations and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA and Control Plans.
- Create, execute, review and report on product and process qualification testing.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Raise and manage quality notifications/alerts when non-conformances are identified.
- Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
