Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant role open for a large corporate office (multi-billion dollar) company in the Dunwoody, GA area. This role will start out as a long term contractor (potential to go perm). GREAT company to gain some valuable experience with.
Ideal candidate will have a general Senior Accounting background with month end close, reconciliations and financial statement analysis and prep.

• Month-End/Year-End Close
  :
  Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Statements
  :
  Assist in compiling and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Compliance & Audits
  :
  Ensure adherence to US GAAP or local tax regulations, and act as a primary point of contact for internal and external audits.
• Team Leadership
  :
  Guide, review work for, and mentor staff or junior accountants.
• Process Improvement
  :
  Analyze current workflows and implement software or procedural efficiencies.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
• Experience
  : 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting or public accounting experience.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP
