Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered treatment for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our multidisciplinary team and support the medical needs of our residents.
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical and psychiatric care to residents. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinical operations and providing direct support to both patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychiatric staff with patient care.
- Perform vital signs checks, medication administration, and routine screenings.
- Support medication management, including documentation and organization.
- Coordinate appointments, medical records, and follow-up care for residents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and wellness strategies.
- Respond to medical emergencies as needed and coordinate care with clinical staff.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and support staff to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Current certification required
- Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or residential care settings preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, infection control, and medication management
- Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism and empathy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
