Municipal Operations and Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Dunwoody, GA

Your Impact at Lowe Engineers: Lowe Engineers is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Supervisor to support infrastructure maintenance activities for the City of Dunwoody. This role plays a critical part in managing maintenance operations for streets, sidewalks, stormwater systems, and right‑of‑way assets. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in public works, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead field crews and contractors in delivering high‑quality service to the community.

• Respond to and track infrastructure maintenance requests and citizen inquiries
• Coordinate maintenance crews and contractors for road, sidewalk, ROW, traffic signal, and stormwater repairs
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize work orders to ensure timely and efficient task completion
• Monitor crew performance for quality, safety, and adherence to City standards
• Maintain service records and oversee equipment upkeep
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and procurement efforts
• Manage work order data in the City’s maintenance tracking system and prepare reports
• Support emergency response activities such as storm cleanup and snow removal
• Review and approve utility permits, coordinate with utility companies on ROW issues
• Assist with property acquisition or disposition related to capital projects
• Provide support for stormwater pipe rehabilitation efforts
• Participate in long‑term maintenance strategy development and infrastructure improvements
• Remain on call for emergencies and field‑related issues as needed

• High school diploma or GED required;
  Associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public works maintenance or construction
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with infrastructure maintenance operations, including stormwater, roadways, and ROW
• Ability to manage contractors, crews, equipment, and budgets
• Excellent problem‑solving, coordination, and communication skills
• Comfortable using maintenance tracking software and reporting tools
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to respond to after‑hours emergencies
