Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. Using your people management experience and passion for helping people, you’ll provide leadership to the customer-centric teams in the offices you manage to accelerate their seasonal tax business.
You’ll serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
Please note that this role is not remote and will require you to work in-person.
- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage labor for associates in all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions as needed.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with support from the Associate Relations Center
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching
- Lead and coordinate associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping
- Travel between offices as required
- Prepare tax returns as needed following certification requirements
- People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates
- Ability to execute growth plans and lead a growth-oriented culture
- Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Computer proficiency with MS Office
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)
