Basketball Referee - Youth Sports (Saturdays)

i9 Sports is seeking a BASKETBALL
REFEREE for our North Atlanta locations. This is a part‑time position with all activities on Saturday (approximately 5‑hour work day).

Candidate will assist in running our youth co‑ed recreation league (ages 4‑12) and officiate games. You will help educate players on proper basketball rules and procedures of the game with emphasis on good sportsmanship. You must be 100% reliable. You need to know basketball but more importantly be able to relate to, and lead kids who are 4‑12 years old. No certification is required and we will provide training.

• Practice and games are on Saturdays only.
• 6‑week leagues run year round.

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players.
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts with focus on good sportsmanship.
• Manage an age‑appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age‑appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Set up and break down field equipment.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Some basketball playing, officiating or coaching experience required.
• Be a role model for athletes.
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
• Ability to work Saturday mornings (for the full duration of the season, 6 weeks).
• All employees and volunteers must complete a national criminal background check.

Compensation: $0.13 - $0.15 per hour.
