We are looking for a fun, outgoing, hardworking person to join an award‑winning team here in Durango. You need not be experienced, we are willing to train the right person. The goal of the agency is to grow the business and ensure excellent customer service along the way.
We do this by getting to know our customers and reviewing their personal situation and needs. During the reviews, we uncover their risks and also what's important to them. We put policies into place that protect the things they care about the most with insurance and financial products. We also assist customers with reviewing their accounts, updating coverages, and assisting in the claims process.
Skills that will help you become successful in this position include a desire to become knowledgeable in the insurance field, compassion for people, a positive attitude, good follow‑through, and an enjoyment of problem solving. We are passionate about what we do and are looking for someone who shares that passion. The office participates in community events, volunteers, and celebrates successes together as a team.
Compensation is salary plus commissions with no cap on income opportunity, and there is also room for advancement.
- Manage incoming calls and walk‑ins
- Generate sales leads
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Meet personal/customer service team sales targets and call‑handling quotas
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Track record of over‑achieving quota
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Compensation $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
