Substitute Teacher, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
Durango School District is recruiting licensed substitute teachers for the 2025 - 2026 school year to work with our students and staff!
We pay $185 per day for a full-day assignment.
3-5 day consecutive substituting assignments pay $195 per day.
Long-term substitute assignments pay $265 per day.
This position requires a Colorado 3- or 5-year substitute license, a Colorado teaching license, OR a 1-year Colorado substitute license with at least one year of post-secondary education completed.

We are recruiting substitutes who can work a flexible schedule across multiple locations and positions.
Requirements include:

- Experience working with children; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, math, and writing skills.
- Minimum of two professional or academic references (family or friends are not accepted).
- Strong computer skills to navigate electronic systems independently for accepting/declining assignments, viewing teacher notes, and communicating with staff.
