Job Title: Licensed Teacher. Pay Grade:
Licensed Compensation System. FLSA Status:
Exempt.
SUMMARY: Plan instruction aligned with district and state standards. Supervise students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Teach adopted curricula for assigned grades and subjects, modifying as necessary.
- Develop lesson plans and instruct using materials and media.
- Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning and report results.
- Model character education including citizenship and conflict resolution.
- Implement IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior support plans, attending meetings as requested.
- Provide safety instruction for hazardous activities.
- Maintain a positive learning environment free from disruptive behavior.
- Maintain relationships with families and the school community.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned.
- Assure safety and welfare of students.
- Demonstrate prompt attendance.
- Submit required reports promptly.
- Protect School District property.
- Report suspected child abuse or neglect.
- Use District’s internet and E‑mail system as specified.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related subject from an accredited university.
EXPERIENCEExperience preferred but may not be necessary.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONSColorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsements; pass PLACE or PRAXIS II; meet CDE and ESSA requirements for In‑Field Teacher.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication.
