Surveying Technician; Temporary Seasonal

These seasonal positions are located in any Colorado BLM Office or Fort Collins, CO. We expect to fill 6 vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available.

• Assists Land Surveyors in the reduction of data from raw field form to latitudes and departures of coordinates for mathematical analysis.
• Reduces solar and stellar observations for determining azimuth.
• Computes closures, inverses and proportional segments for restoring lost property corners.
• Survey Technician must demonstrate the ability to safely operate motor vehicles. In most cases, this will be a 4-wheel drive vehicle or ATV.
• Performs a full range of technical survey duties.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• You cannot hold an active real estate license: nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.

• Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination.
