Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all products from the creation and release of BOMs to final delivery of products.
- Review, understand, and approve technical drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, fabrication and production teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to delivery.
- As appropriate source components from alternative vendors to reduce item costs.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between design data, BOMs, stock items and fabricated items.
- Implement engineering change processes by updating BOMs and ensuring changes are implemented for all in-process items and builds.
- Review part numbers for duplication & redundant parts
- Review / monitor the flow of BOM items through fabrication & production
- Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred
- Previous experience in a BOM-related or engineering support role preferred.
- Proficiency with Solid Works is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with either SAGE or a similar ERP and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- High attention to detail and a strong ability to interpret and evaluate technical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
