The Director of Nursing plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing Department to ensure the highest quality of care, clinical outcomes, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead and oversee all nursing services within the facility
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; oversee recruitment, hiring, and staff development
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical operations based on resident care needs
• Conduct routine rounds, audits, and quality assurance activities
• Manage infection control, safety, fire, disaster preparedness, and OSHA standards
• Oversee medication management, treatments, and resident care plans
• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, residents, and families
• Participate in facility leadership meetings, committees, and administrative planning
• Provide on-call leadership support as required

• Current RN license in the State of Colorado or a compact state
• Minimum of 1-5 years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience
• Previous DON, ADON, or comparable nursing leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of state survey processes and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
• Commitment to maintaining resident dignity, safety, and quality of life
