Responsibilities Inventory Management
  • Execute, monitor, and train on inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy.
  • Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
  • Champion On‑Shelf Availability; oversee receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in‑store inventory processes.
  • Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.
  • Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications impacting front end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.
  • Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques; file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
  • In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, handling all required system start‑ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • When serving as the leader on duty in designated stores, resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
  • Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
  • Scan all deliveries while the vendor is in store, focusing on One Box receiving and marking deliveries as received or opening tickets for inaccuracies.
  • Under the pharmacist‑in‑charge’s supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments are posted for products physically received at the store and complete or verify postings of all pharmacy warehouse orders, prescription and OTC orders, secondary vendor orders, flu and dropship orders, and accurately report shortages or damaged product.
  • Complete On‑Shelf Availability end‑to‑end processes, including warehouse and direct store delivery for planogrammed departments, executing disposals, call‑ins, vendor returns, and scan‑outs on all subscribed departments.
  • Complete pharmacy inventory activities such as recalls, vendor returns, non‑controlled and damaged salvage returns, and interstore pharmacy transfers where applicable.
  • Execute all pricing activities, including price changes, markdowns, and deletes, and support front end and pharmacy ordering of expense items.
  • Ensure all designated pull & quarantine items are updated and placed in the designated holding area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantity accuracy across departments, stockroom, overstock locations, and pharmacy.
  • Maintain inventory compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
  • Assist in the maintenance of inventory records, file organization, and retention of all invoices/receipts/return authorizations.
  • Help prepare for physical inventory and support day‑of activities, including sales floor, stockroom, and pharmacy preparation and auditing.
  • Support keeping all counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
  • Know all store systems and equipment.
  • Assist and coach store team on all package delivery activities, including scanning in and out of packages and completing daily inventory functions.
  • As leader on duty in designated stores, register all related sales on the POS, track scanning errors, price verifications, voids, and provide customer refunds and cash drops.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
  • Perform any additional activities and tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend company‑based trainings for continuous development and complete all e‑learning modules including safety training requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by the state.
