Purpose of PositionThe Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. The Pilot serves as the face of Net Jets, delivering not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every Net Jets Owner and passenger. The Pilot should wear many hats, ranging from professional aviator to in‑flight service provider, while maintaining full command of the aircraft and a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities- Safe operation of the aircraft from taxi to landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Pre‑flight greeting of owners/passengers, introductions, briefing on itinerary, weather, safety and any changes.
- Provide in‑flight service including alcohol handling and catering service as needed.
- Load and properly stow all baggage required for the aircraft.
- Handle flights for owners with pets or who smoke.
- Serve as the final authority on aircraft operation and compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
- Act as liaison between owners/passengers and Net Jets from FBO arrival until final departure.
- Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete any related paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on assignment requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written certificate.

- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or equivalent multi‑engine rating with at least 21 years of age.
- Flight time: 1,500 total hours, 1,250 with appropriate university R‑ATP, or 1,000 with military qualification.
- Minimum cross‑country flight of 200 hours, 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC, 100 night hours, 75 instrument hours.
- Fixed‑wing multi‑engine time: 50 hours.
- Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Valid passport, US work authorization (citizen or permanent resident).
- Ability to work varying hours including day/night, weekdays, weekends, holidays, up to 14 hours per day for up to 8 days per trip, and be away for 7 or more nights.
- Flexibility to adjust quickly to rapid changes and manage rest to remain ready for duty.
- Advantageous communication skills, quick decision‑making, and meticulous attention to detail in both technical and passenger service aspects.
- Physical ability to exert required force for moving objects, handle animals, and conduct flights for owners who smoke.
- Fluency in English (written, oral, reading, speaking).
