About the Opportunity We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established accounting firm based in Ballito, on the KZN North Coast. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional who is looking to build their career within a reputable firm servicing a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with relevant standards
- Compilation of management accounts
- Tax calculations and submissions (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
- SARS e-filing submissions and client liaison
- Processing and reviewing of monthly bookkeeping
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assisting with audits and statutory compliance
- Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong client relationships
- Providing accounting and tax advisory support to clients
- SAIPA or SAICA qualification or
- Relevant Accounting/Finance Degree
- Completed articles (preferred)
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience within an accounting firm environment
- Strong knowledge of SARS regulations and tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Case Ware, Xero, Sage, Pastel, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Professional communication skills
- Client-focused approach
- High level of integrity and professionalism
