Our client based in Durban North is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to join their finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping, accounting, and personal tax experience who enjoys working with technology and continuously improving financial processes.

• Process day-to-day bookkeeping transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain the general ledger and complete bank reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Prepare financial reports and reconciliations for management
• Assist with personal tax administration and submissions
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies through AI and automation tools
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Support the Financial Manager with finance and administrative functions

• Matric
• Relevant Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification
• 3+ years' bookkeeping experience
• Experience with accounts, financial management, and personal tax
• Xero experience is highly advantageous
• Exposure to AI tools that improve workflow is beneficial
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Positive attitude with plenty of energy and initiative
