Senior Accountant

Job Description

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and account postings
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Process general journals and month-end accounting entries
• Generate financial statements including trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets
• Verify source documentation such as invoices and receipts
• Prepare financial reports and analyse financial information and trends
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare payments and VAT submissions
• Assist with budgeting and annual audits
• Maintain an organised filing system for financial records
• Conduct monthly branch audits, including stock and asset verification

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting experience
• Excellent reconciliation and account management skills
• Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Xero Accounting Software would be advantageous
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Strong planning, organisational, and analytical abilities
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and trustworthy approach

• Accounting Degree or similar relevant qualification
