Senior Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a full accounting and tax portfolio.
• Produce monthly management reports.
• Perform the full accounting function through to trial balance.
• Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors using Case Ware.
• Provide advice on accounting and taxation matters.
• Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
• Manage all SARS correspondence and queries.
• Submit notices of objection and suspension of debt applications via eFiling.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Travel to client sites when required.
• Maintain professional conduct and service excellence at all times.

• Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma (non-negotiable).
• Completed Articles.
• Affiliations with SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SAIBA will be advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of Case Ware and Pastel.
• Experience with SARS eFiling.
• 3-5 years' experience within an accounting firm environment.
• Strong tax compliance and financial reporting experience.
• Own reliable vehicle.
• Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable).
