Our client is seeking a results-oriented Operations Management Consultant to join their dedicated team in Durban. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving cost reductions for a diverse range of clients. You will dive deep into operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical, data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is adept at process improvement methodologies and possesses strong leadership skills to guide teams through change, contributing to the success of organizations by making their operations more streamlined and effective.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized workflows, supply chain improvements, and lean manufacturing/service principles.
- Develop and deploy key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with client teams to implement operational changes, manage resistance, and ensure successful adoption.
- Conduct training sessions for client staff on new processes and operational best practices.
- Provide strategic recommendations on operational strategy, technology investments, and organizational structure.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, process improvement, or consulting.
- Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex operational data.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
